The Coimbatore based Hindusthan Group is planning to ply buses in four states namely Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, and Karnataka. Initially For the said initiative the group has floated a Company in the name & style of Hindusthan Travels (India) Private Limited.
Initially the company is planning to operate with Brand new 6 Nos. of 35 Volvo 9400 B9R 6 x 2 chassis high-end luxury SEMI – SLEEPER coaches in Coimbatore – Chennai, Coimbatore – Pondicherry and Coimbatore – Bengaluru and viz-versa sectors. Lakhs of passenger prefer Travels buses through out the year for going to various places in South India. To cater their needs the group has planned to step in to this new venture.
We have plans to increase our fleet strength by putting SLEEPER COACHES to South Tamilnadu and also we have plans to establish our network in Kerala and Andhrapradesh by putting offices and quality personnels.
Our ticketing strategy will be through online booking and providing outlets for ticket booking in main centres of the cities from which we are going to operate and enroute of those cities apart from this we have plans to Tie-Up with online ticketing agents like REDBUS.IN & TICKETGOOSE.COM etc.
Along with carrying passengers we are planning to start CARGO SERVICES which is the need of the society now a days.
The Hindusthan Group, Coimbatore, headed by Shri.T.S.R.KHANNAIYANN is in business since last four decades .Mr. T.S.R. Khannaiyann S/o. P.S.Ramasamy hails from an agricultural family based at Thiruchengode, Namakkal District is a self made businessmen. Ever since he has been in the business his dedication, commitment enabled him to expand in all activities mainly in Industry, Education, Real Estate and many more and now in the distillery Industry. He is having very good land bank of more than 750 acres and presently valued at more than 1000 crores.
He started his career as a trader by establishing a trading house to trade Electro Mechanical Equipment. He had an idea to originate the industries and this has been materialized by starting the manufacture of motor pumps in 1974. Even though his ambition is fulfilled by starting a small industry, he was much interested to launch a better industry as a SSI in a big way. In 1980 he started to manufacture of Electrical Transformers ranging up to 500 KVA in Coimbatore with a set up of 50 employees. His thoughts were further expanding the industries and now these units are manufacturing Transformers up to 10 MVA
In order to meet the production requirement of transformer industry and also to avoid the crisis of prime raw-materials requirement like Lamination, Conductors, Oil etc., he decided to start ancillary units which gave birth to 4 more companies in Coimbatore and Pondicherry. Subsequently he is well established in transformers and allied products manufacturing.
Considering the industrial requirement he decided to diversify his activities and also to acquire existing electrical industries having exposure on Electrical contracts and Control Panels. In the process he purchased the Vivin Group of Companies in 1998 which has dedicated team, Trading Division, Contractors with ESA License, Switch Board Manufacturing etc., with an experience of over 6 decades and pioneers in switchboard manufacturing. Now, the group companies put together with diversified activities having different departments and proper organizations.
Now, Hindusthan Group of Companies headed by Mr. T.S.R. KHANNAIYANN which have nearly 20 Companies in its fold engaged in the fields of Manufacturing Power & Distribution Transformers, CT-PT Units, Electrical Swtichgears & Control Panels, Copper / Aluminium Conductors, Transformer Oil, M.S. Steel Fabrication and M.S. Steel Radiators which provides employment to more than 500 persons.

Hindusthan Heavy Electricals Private Limited
A blue chip company of the multi-million coimbatore based Hindusthan Group, a name very familiar in power sector with its Hindusthan Brand Transformers was established in the year of 1980. Two decades of rich experience in the transformer industry combined with the state of the art technology and most advanced.
Machineries has propelled Hindusthan Transformers into being selected by the TNEB, which in itself speaks for its quality.
Standard Power Distributors
Is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of all kind of Copper/Aluminium Wires & Strips in Enamel, Paper & Fibre glass covering with a capacity of 100 M.Tons per month. This is also the proven technology of giving performance guarantee for their transformers with the highest standard quality of the raw materials.
Priya Metallurgical Industries
Is having the centralised fabrication shop with fully sophisticated plant & machinery to manufacture any number of capacity of transformer tanks in one wing. All the tanks are pressure tested as per the standard.
Hindusthan Radiators
Is manufacturing of Pressed steel radiators for the requirements of the transformers all the radiators are manufactured with high quality M.S. Steel sheets with ultra modern welding technology to suit the maximum cooling effects with the range of 500 mm to 3500 mm length and 228mm, 310 mm and 520 mm width as per the requirements.

Is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of Transformer oil.
Vivin Controls Private Limited
Is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of Electrical panel Board Fixed and Draw out Motor control center, HT Panels Bus ducts upto 12 KV indoor / outdoor.
Vivin Industries
Is engaged in total electrification solution to major industries like Sugar mills, Textile parks, Trade Fair centres, Engineering Industries, Hospitals, Educational Institutions etc… . It is having ESA licence which shows its strength.
Hindusthan Estates
Is a plantation company engaged in producing Coffee and Cardamum.
Hindusthan Distilleries ( Karnataka ) Private Limited
Is a stand alone spirit Manufacturing unit situated at Gauribidanur, Karnataka Is engaged in manufacturing Rectified Spirit & De-Natured Alcohol.
Even though he was well established in the industrial sector Serving to the society is always in his mind. He wants to work for the up lift ment of poor and needy in a professional manner which gave birth to HINDUSTHAN EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE TRUST in the year 1992. The Trust has promoted educational institutions at Coimbatore which renders educational service from Pre K.G. TO P.hd. in the field of Arts & Science, Engineering, Education, Teacher Training etc., provides education to nearly 17000 students in addition to 1200 Nos. Of direct employments.
